If you only read this box:
- The resume, profile, saved answers and application log stay in your browser. NeverApply does not receive them, unless you turn on optional AI answers (then a compact profile subset is sent).
- Fill reads only the form you asked it to fill. It never submits a form.
- Optional AI answers send a compact profile — never your email, phone, address, links, diversity answers, salary, or date of birth.
- No analytics, ads, or selling your data. Delete everything from Settings → Delete all my data.
Introduction
NeverApply Autofill ("the extension") is a free Chrome extension made by NeverApply. It fills job application forms with information from your own resume. This policy explains what the extension handles, where it goes, and your choices.
What the extension stores, and where
Everything below is stored in your browser on your device (Chrome extension storage and IndexedDB). NeverApply does not receive it, unless you turn on optional AI answers — then a compact subset of your profile is sent to generate a draft, as described below.
- Your resume file and the text read from it, so it can be attached to applications and used to build your profile.
- Your profile: the details you reviewed after importing your resume (name, contact details, work history, education, skills, links, work authorization answers and preferences).
- Saved answers to custom application questions.
- Application log: the company, job title, page address and date of applications you filled, so you can keep track.
- Settings, your consent choice, and a random installation ID (not linked to you).
You can export all of it as a file, and Settings → Delete all my data erases all of it from your device.
What the extension reads on web pages
When you press Fill, the extension reads the labels, questions and options of the form on that page (and the job title and company) so it can match them to your profile. It does not read pages you don't ask it to fill, and it never submits a form.
Optional AI answers
If you turn on AI answers, questions your profile and saved answers can't answer (for example "Why do you want to work here?") are sent for a draft answer:
- What is sent: the question text and its options, the job title, company and a short excerpt of the job description, and a compact profile: work history (titles, employers, dates, one-line highlights), education, skills, languages, and your city and country.
- What is never sent: your email, phone number, address, links, diversity answers, salary, or date of birth.
- Who processes it: NeverApply's AI service, which sends it to OpenAI through Cloudflare's AI Gateway to generate the answer. NeverApply does not store the content of these requests; it keeps only counts (per installation ID and per day) to prevent abuse. OpenAI does not use API data to train its models by default.
- You are asked before the first AI answer, drafts are clearly marked, and you can turn AI answers off in Settings at any time.
What we don't do
- No analytics, tracking pixels or telemetry. No ads.
- We don't sell your data or share it for advertising.
- Data is used only to fill your own job applications (Chrome Web Store Limited Use policy).
Links to NeverApply
The extension may show links to neverapply.co. Opening one takes you to our website, which has its own privacy policy. Links carry a label saying where you clicked from (for example utm_source=chrome_extension); they carry no personal data.
Children
The extension is meant for job seekers aged 16 and over.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects what leaves your device, the extension will ask for your consent again.
